This Support Specialist position is service-oriented and will be responsible for responding to day-to-day client/employee benefit inquiries and providing administrative support to our Employee Benefits Account Management Team. This important role ensures our valued clients have the right tools in place to manage their business objectives surrounding their employee benefit offerings.

What we ask of you:

  • Assist Employee Benefit Account Managers with client service inquiries surrounding their employee benefit offerings, maintaining status updates in our client management system through issue resolution
  • Comfortable having phone conversations with customers about their employee benefit offerings, such as medical, dental, vision and other insurance benefits
  • Demonstrate high standards and commitment to quality while collaborating with Employee Benefits Account Manager(s) in the preparation of client documents such as enrollment, pricing, presentations, renewals, and other client facing documents
  • Strong ability to be resourceful using online and internal resources when assisting clients
  • Demonstrate detail-orientation and an eye for accuracy when reviewing post renewal invoices and while implementing online enrollment platforms
  • Ability to develop and maintain internal reporting system
  • Leverage time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines when preparing commission statements for approval and posting while working with several clients at any given time
  • Exhibit strong organization skills through the preparation of monthly Quickbooks invoicing
  • Develop and maintain valuable relationships with our clients and vendor partners
  • Showcase efficiency when using Microsoft Teams, Outlook, Concur, and Docusign
  • Be a team player willing to assist in cross training other members of the team with an open mind and ability to be flexible to meet changing client and business needs

Experience and competencies:

  • Customer and/or Sales Support, Administrative and/or Agency Operations, or Employee Benefits experience preferred
  • Willingness to obtain Life, Accident, Health license
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word and Excel)
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Desire to learn and grow, willingness to try new things
  • Detail- oriented
  • Integrity with passion for doing the right thing by our clients
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills
  • Sense of urgency to respond appropriately to client needs
